Requirements

Below you will find everything that our team will need in order to transform your music into a playable song on the Rock Band Network. The general idea is that the process will be easier and quicker if you give us more files to work with. As long as the stems are full, final takes that do not have to be realigned, we can use them to our advantage. We will be able to mix together any parts we need to, so go ahead and send it all. For example, send a rhythm guitar 1 file, a rhythm guitar 2 file, and a lead file. The backing tracks can also be split up in case one of them needs to be authored. If you have any questions about these requirements feel free to fill out a contact form or contact us at support@redrockcharters.com.

1. Kick Drum: Mono or Stereo
2. Snare Drum: Stereo
3. Kit Mix: Stereo

-Separate kick, snare, and kit parts are not required but much preferred. The more the drums are split up, the better.

4. Bass - Playable Bass Part: Mono or Stereo
5. Guitar - Playable Guitar Part: Stereo

-If there are multiple guitar parts, please make a file for each individual guitar part.

6. Vox - Playable Vocals Part: Stereo

-Even if the song has harmonies, they will be mixed into on Vox track. Once again, however, send over the files individually so we can mix them together as we need them.

7. Keys - Playable Keys Part: Stereo
8. TRKS - All Other Instruments and Backing Vocals: Stereo
9. DryVOX - Vocal Files with No Effects

-This is needed to generate an accurate lip sync. We need different files for each harmony part here as well.

10. Lyrics Sheet
11. CD Reference Mix: Stereo

-This is not necessary but would be a helpful reference.

12. Any available tempo, time signatures, and chord reference sheets. Sheet music would suffice as well.

*All files should be 16bit, 44.1k. Your audio stems (different instrumental files) can be recorded in many different setups and formats, based on how your song was recorded. The above formats are just the most common and suggested formats and are not necessarily necessary in order to accurately author you song.
