Pricing

Red Rock Charters offers many different payment plans that you and your band may choose from for the most flexibility possible. Below we list our different payment plans and how they work. We are very flexible in terms of payment, so let us know if you have another idea. The plans can also be combined in any way- for example, we can do an Authoring Only version with the Exposure plan to make it more affordable for you. In order for us to give your band the most accurate pricing for your song, you must send us all the requirements for authoring your song. These requirements can be found here.

One-Time Charge

For this payment plan, we charge one sum of money per song, and your band receives all revenue from the sales of your song. We will require a percentage of the money upfront and the rest after your song has been posted to the Rock Band Network. The cost to author your song will depend on many factors including length and difficulty, number of songs, and any special requirements. After your band has sent us your multi-track recording, our team can determine the cost of authoring your song. Once the song reaches the in-game store, you will begin receiving 100% of the royalty payments.

Authoring Only

For our second option, we will determine the price of charting your song as described above and then cut the price significantly. We will author your entire song and hand over the finished project and build when we are finished. You will then be able to submit the song to the Rock Band Network yourself and finish the process on your own. This will remove the cost of Playest/Peer Review support from the price and get you directly involved in the RBN community and the success of your song. If the song requires fixes or repairs, we will work with you to ensure they are done correctly or complete them ourselves, depending on the situation. As with the One-Time Charge plan, you will receive 100% of the royalties when the song is finished.

Authoring Assistance/Partial Authoring

If you are working on your own song but find that you need a little help getting started, we can help. We will gladly look over your project files for errors, author entire parts (or just the Expert part or reductions), create an appropriate mix or venue, or anything else you might need help with. We will work out the price with you based on your situation.

Exposure Plan

This plan is for you if your band is just getting started and can't afford a full authoring yet. We will author your entire song for no charge so that your band's name can get out there. Your band will always have the option of buying your way into the royalties at a later date.
